TRIP NEWS: We are looking for a few volunteers to help out once a month to verify ceritificates every other Monday. This is maybe a one hour committment. Please contact Sue Van't Hof or Kristin Keizer if you are able.
WHAT IS
TRIP?
TRIP is a program in which families can earn tuition credit by purchasing
gift certificates to many retailers through Grandville Christian
School. GCS purchases certificates at a discount then sells the
certificates at face value to participating families. The difference
is then used to offset tuition expenses. Anyone in the community
can participate including GCS families, future GCS families, grandparents,
friends, etc., and designate their TRIP earnings to the account
of presently enrolled family or anyone enrolling in the future.
The percentage of credit
earned will vary from store to store (**SEE THE COMPLETE VENDOR
LIST ON THE ORDER FORM). The certificates supplied through TRIP
are the stores’ actual gift certificates and can be used to
buy anything that you would normally buy with cash, check or credit
card. Some stores will allow you to use certificates to make payments
on charge accounts. A portion of credits earned are retained and
given to the Booster Club to be used for expenses not part of the
normal operating budget such as playground and classroom improvements.
The amount you earn will appear on your quarterly statements issued
by TRIP. See “Policy” for further details.
TRIP uses many volunteers
to run this program. If you can volunteer, we would appreciate your
time. To begin participating in this program, either pick up a new
family packet in the school office or contact Kristin Keizer or Sue Van’t Hof.
