Kindergarten is a time of learning and growing.

What is Kindergarten like?

Welcome to kindergarten at GCS!

The kindergarten programs at GCS are developmental – that means the curriculum, activities, and approaches to learning use developmentally appropriate practices for the young learner.

Our desire is that the children know that God is part of every moment of every day and every subject. We learn about our creating God in our studies and devotions and learn of our response to His love and care.

The language arts curriculum we use is a multi-faceted approach. The children learn phonics and sight words; they practice story and comprehension skills. We also use the Four Block approach to reading and writing.

Everyday Math is the math curriculum we use. The activities use hands-on experiences.

We round out our curriculum with social studies and science units.
