Capital Improvement Campaign News and Information
We wanted to bring everyone up to date as to the status of the Capital Improvement Campaign.
As many of you may know, due to a generous donation, the bathrooms were painted and refreshed, and the hallways will also be painted this summer. We are currently working on acoustical improvements in the gym, and hope to paint the gym walls and install the new gym floor in May. A committee has been meeting regarding new playground equipment, and a “town hall” meeting was held in January to review the plans for the parking lot. So as you can see, things are progressing.
Our goal for the campaign is to raise $600,000 in pledges by June 1, 2008. Of that $600,000 we hope to have $200,000 in cash by June 1 (1/3 of the amount pledged).
Pledges are coming along nicely, but we need everyone’s help. We currently have almost $300,000 in pledges. We have a wonderful opportunity to help us reach the final goal. A very generous donor has pledged $100,000 to use as a “matching gifts incentive”. Therefore, any pledge we receive will be matched, so if we can get $100,000 more pledged, that will be matched by the $100,000 gift, and our total will be almost $500,000! Any pledge amount will help out! This is a 3 year pledge. You may pay the first 1/3 anytime before June 1, 2008, the second 1/3 by June 1, 2009 and the last 1/3 by June 1, 2010. So please prayerfully consider what you could pledge to the campaign.
We would like to start on the parking lot this summer, but we need to know that we have the funds to cover the cost. The parking lot is the most expensive item on our list of facility needs, but one of the most important. Without funds we will not be able to continue with our improvement plans.
We are so blessed to have Grandville Christian School available in which to send our children. Please consider how you can help to improve the facilities of our school for years to come.
Thank you!
The Campus Renewal Committee:

P.S. We will be installing the “memorial” bricks when we redo the parking lot. If you would like to purchase bricks, please contact the school office.
