A New Beginning at GCS

My name is Lauren.  When I was 11 years old I began school at Grandville Christian and I loved it!  I came from a charter school in Wyoming.  It is a public school with a moral focus.  For the prior couple of years, my mom and dad wanted me to be in a Christian school.  At first I didn’t want to go, I didn’t know what God had in mind for me.  I didn’t know what to expect.

When I came here, I was surprised by all of the Christian activities.  I had never prayed as a class in school before.  My former teachers knew that I was a Christian, but I never spoke with them about my faith at length.  I know that several of them were Christians also, but they were not able to talk about it in school.  I love it that I can now talk about God and his word in class.  My new favorite subject is Bible and writing in my spiritual journey notebook.  It is great to learn about God with my classmates.  I have really grown in my love and faith towards God.  My dream is to become a missionary or a teacher and spread God’s word to all people.  I am really glad that I came to GCS and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!
